About the Code of Conduct

The Student Code of Conduct sets out the standards of behaviour expected of students. It holds individuals and groups accountable for the consequences of their actions. Failure to comply with these obligations may result in withdrawal of privileges or sanctions.

St. Gabriel is a community of students, faculty and staff engaged in learning, teaching, research and other activities. Therefore, all members of this community should act in ways that positively contribute to an environment that values respect, courtesy, diversity, opportunity and inclusion to ensure both individual and community success is expected. The Student Code of Conduct reflects an interest in these values and enables St. Gabriel members and the public to use and enjoy St. Gabriel’s activities, facilities and benefits without undue interference from others. We aim to make it possible.

The information on this website is a summary of the Student Code of Conduct. This document is not, and is not intended to, replace the Code itself or St. Gabriel’s complete policies and rules regarding misconduct by uneducated students. Students are responsible for reading, understanding and adhering to the Code of Conduct. The full Student Code of Conduct is available at Policies and regulations.
